GamePrix has recently launched a PC MMO called "Divine Souls", and claimed it to "support Kinect". That is to say, Microsoft's Kinect will soon work with Windows PCs. 

Jason Lim from GamePrix said: "Currently, there are many game companies that are trying to develop PC games with Kinect support." However, Microsoft has not made any comments on such news so far.

Hackers have early developed many unofficial Kinect apps, some of which are usable on Windows PCs. Microsoft may have realized that if made compatible with Windows PCs, more Kinect units will be sold. According to the statistics announced by Gartner, Microsoft has sold about 40 million Xbox 360 consoles during the past 5 years, and more than 400 million PCs are likely to be sold out next year.

Microsoft used to transplant the Xbox technology to PCs, i.e. the company made Xbox Live available to PC game developers several years ago. But it never really took off, Divine Souls Gold and there are only a handful of PC games available for the service today.

As Microsoft announced at the end of last month, up to 2.5 million Kinect units were sold in the first 25 days, which made the sales volume of Kinect expected to reach 5 million by this year's Christmas. Kinect is mainly applied to games presently, but analysts believe that it can be used to do various things, like to browse web pages and control different household devices.
