Accolades in Star Trek Online are special missions that track various achievements throughout a player's career in the STO universe and unlock various rewards at certain milestones. Players can earn Accolades for many different actions, such as defeating a certain number of enemies from a certain species or faction, completing main storyline missions, dealing damage of a certain energy type and many more. There are hundreds of Accolades to earn, sto credits and we'll be adding more and more as we go!
Want to team up with a friend who's new to the game? You're in luck! In Season One: Update Two, we're happy to introduce the Squad Support System. Now, players of any level can team with each other using their special level scaling technology. This is a great way to spend time with your friends and fleetmates of differing levels, and to enjoy Star Trek Online in a brand new way.
We've scrubbed the game and made some fantastic changes to game balance, the Fleet system and more. At the top of the list is the revamp of the DPS and global cooldown system, as well as the introduction of a Fleet event calendar and a Fleet mail system. It's never been easier to find friends with whom to share Star Trek Online!
To give players even more stuff besides combat to do, mini-games have been added. One of these involves matching up "waveforms" when finding anomalies in space and on the ground and is fairly easy to master. A minor distraction, it does have a tangible benefit in that being good at it will net you more and better types of anomalies. The big mini-game added is Dabo,sto credits familiar to fans of the Star Trek: Deep Space 9 series. Dabo is a game of chance that lets you bet energy credits in hopes of winning that staple of Ferengi commerce, gold-pressed latinum. Gold-pressed latinum can be used to purchase several unique rewards.
