The OBT has launched, I guess many of you started to explore more features about Iris Online! The following is my guide about PVP in Iris Online! (Some from Official Website,some from TW fansite)
General Introduction:
Player vs. Player combat is one of the fundamental aspects of Iris Online. The element of human intelligence, skill, and unpredictability when facing other players instead of computer controlled enemies is one of the main draws of participating in PvP. Players of all ability and gear level can participate in the fierce struggle of the Elements.
1.Starting A Duel
To start a duel all you need to do is target the person you want to enter into combat with and type "/duel".
2. Entering the battlefield
To enter the Battlefield all you have to do is accept one of the many invitations that go out to all players throughout the course of the day.
3. Requirements/Mode Selection
Upon completion of a PvP match, (Iris Online Gold)both parties will receive rewards points. These points can be saved and redeemed later at Terminus through specific NPCs. The points can be used to acquire exclusive weapons, armors, much more.
4. Two PVP Modes: Survival Mode and Capture the Flag Mode
Survival Mode: To win you have to get 50 scores. One Kill=1 score, One Tower=10 scores
Capture the Flag: The side who grabs 5 flags first will win!
Survival Mode:
The large scale fight depends on your cooperation. Different classes play different roles., just like a raid team.
Tank class just move forward and try to attract attacks;
Rangers and Warriors focus their attacks on healers
Mage class focus on enemies's main DPS calss
Healers: All healing, no attack! Firstly they should care about Tank.
The key roles are Tank and Healers! Of course the enemies may also use such strategy, so you need to protect the healers.
Besides good role-playing, the other key issue is destroying the towers.To control the battle, you have to control the resurrection point. For most of my fights, if you could firstly destroy enemy's tower, we win!
Capture the Flag:
In the beginning, click M to check the map and find the Flag position! (Many ppl just run into fights and forget the flags! You need a leader! ) When you grab the flags, bring it back to your basement and click it to raise the flag. And keep doing this for 5 times you will win.
Key issues:
a. What to do after grabbing the flag? Find your team members to protect you so that you could go back safely! There will be arrows guiding your back!
b. Which class to get the flag? Warriors! They have highest HP and Defense!
c. Don't forget your own flag! Pay attention to the flag of yours, try to stop the enemies and get it back!
d. When you are trying to get the flag, make sure there is no enemy around! Because any attack will cut your action of grabbing the flag (It takes few secs to loading the grabbing action)
