Inspired by Tarot Café; Developers have stayed over in the sauna frequently in the past four years due to busy development work
Speaking of Iris,(Iris Online Gold) the project manager who once worked on the development of many MMORPGs and causal games said that at the early stage, he led 35 members to engage in Iris's development with the adoption of Gamebyro (the basic engine of WoW). He said that this was to carry out the development work of Iris in the smoothest environment.
The developers only wanted to create a complete and warm gaming world at the very beginning, but later thought it's necessary to endow the game with a special theme that could differentiate Iris from other MMOs in the market. At that time, Tarot cafes were very popular in South Korea, and thus inspired the development team. The team then decided to integrate Tarot elements into Iris, which was also themed by cards originally, and gamers' positive feedback just proved this theme's feasibility. However, a good game requires not only a good theme but also considerable efforts. As Mr. Lee mentioned, to bring forth a satisfactory project, Iris developers often failed to go home and stayed over in the sauna due to busy development work.
Divination and Themed Instance, the Tarot-related essence that you shouldn't miss in the game
As the most important element of Iris, Tarot must make its appearance in the game frequently. Tarot Divination that Korean gamers are very fond of and Iris's Themed Instances just make full use of Tarot's essential parts.
